Arnhem is synonymous with class and fashion. The capital of the Dutch province of Gelderland, it is also known by many for its role in the history of the Second World War where one of the fiercest and most important battles of the conflict took place.
In the past, Arnhem was also the favorite city of the Dutch elite and upper class, not for nothing is it also commonly known as the 'Little Beech of the East'.
Without forgetting its past, the city today offers us a lively center to walk through, exploring its many historic buildings, green areas, or enjoying its shopping streets.
Itinerary
Our tour begins at the central train station of Arnhem, a wonderful building that shows us the most contemporary face of the city. Traveling towards the historic center of Arnhem, and some of the oldest and liveliest streets and squares in the city, such as the Korenmarkt or Rijnstraat street, full of shops and cafes, we will arrive at the church of San Eusebio , one of the most representatives of the city. Further on we come to one of the most architecturally beautiful areas of the city, the Musiskwartier .
