Hello! I introduce myself, my name is Juan Manuel, although everyone calls me Juanma. I am a traveling boy who loves history. Before the pandemic I was on a long journey that took me through Italy, Greece and Turkey. In these countries I was able to meet wonderful people and places (especially archeology sites) of incredible beauty, Rome, Pompeii, Paestum, Athens, Ephesos, Capadoccia, are some of the places I visited. On that trip I met a guy (today a good friend) who showed me the world of freetours. He invited me to work together in the city of Athens. This is how little by little we became good guides to the foothills of the Athenian Acropolis. All this ended in March 2020, when the virus started and I had to return home. My dear home Tarifa, Cádiz; place in which it was where I began to be interested in history. For this reason I am about to resume the project and show you everything I know as a lover of history and my land. I look forward to seeing you on my tour. See you soon!

For me it is a great honor to offer you this tour of one of the most beautiful enclaves in Spain.
As you know, we are located in the Strait of Gibraltar , a transit point par excellence, a connection point between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean . It is a very special area, especially due to the fact that all the great civilizations in history have wanted to have control of this place.
Here we can find both Roman and medieval sites, as well as Bastolo-Punic sites .
But not only that, we must pay special interest in the prehistoric remains that we located in the area, caves with Paleolithic engravings of more than 15,000 years old.
In addition to that, on this tour we will visit the anthropomorphic tombs of Betis , tombs carved into the sandstone rock which are still being investigated.
For this reason and because of my great interest in history, I have devised a tour in which we will cover several periods of our civilization, we will pass through several sites, some outdoors and others, such as the case of Baelo Claudia, private (free entry for residents of the European Union).
Now, it is my duty to state that this tour will be done BY ROAD , that is, the places we will visit, although they are relatively close, have a distance of several kilometers between them. For this reason we will meet at a point on the route which is very accessible to everyone, "Restaurante El Olivo ", at the entrance to Punta Paloma . From there we will leave shortly after the stipulated time, but not before offering you the details of the stops and the appropriate directions. The route will be very simple, since I will be in front with my private car at all times and I will give you directions through the "Zello Walkie talkie" App (this App is optional but it is recommended to communicate and it will be a more immersive experience).

- Wear comfortable shoes, sandals are not recommended because we will walk on dirt and gravel roads.
