Greetings to everyone, My name is Yilmaz. I was born in Istanbul, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I grew up in a family spoken in Turkish and in Greek, therefore I learned both languages very well. I am fluent speaking in english, greek and turkish languages. I studied at Mugla University in Turkey at The Department of Tourism. After graduating from university, I started guiding and got my first official license in 2006. After guiding in Turkey, Greece and Italy for many years, I settled in London and started guiding here. I love guiding and meeting new people. I made friends all over the world as a guide. I look forward to meeting you and strolling the streets of London together

Tour description

British Museum, which has one of the largest and most important collections in the world. You will get the chance to know many historical objects belonging to Mesopotamian, Anatolian and Mediterranean civilizations.

The British Museum was started as a collection of manuscripts and natural history by the doctor and naturalist Sir Hans Sloane (1660-1753), later purchased by the British government and opened as a museum in 1753. Later other manuscripts, coins and antiques were added to this collection.

King George II. donated the Royal Library in 1757, the museum began to be displayed to the public at the Montagu House in Bloomsbury.

With priceless artifacts brought from Anatolia, Greece, Mesopotamia and Egypt, it is now among the most important museums in the world.

On this tour, we will have the opportunity to get to know these important objects left behind by the civilizations that shaped the world.
