This tour is a great way to learn about Hungarian culture and discover Budapest’s colourful history—from the founding of the Hungarian state, through the Ottoman occupation and the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, all the way to the 21st century.
I present the city through stories and fun facts, not dry dates, and I love going off the beaten track to show you lesser-known places with fascinating stories behind them.
What makes this tour special?
As a professional musician, I also share music-related stories from Hungarian history and introduce you to the artistic side of the city, including great places and venues to listen to (and sometimes play!) live music 🎶
The tour is also interactive and engaging: along the way, I include fun trivia questions, encourage active participation and good answer won’t go unrewarded! 😉
Along the way, I’ll talk about the do’s and don’ts in Budapest, and I’ll happily recommend where—and what—to eat and drink like a local 🍷🍲
At the end of the tour, I’ll give you my own personal list of recommendations, so you can make the most of your time in Budapest even after the walk.
Meeting point:
In front of the main entrance of St. Stephen’s Basilica

If I am fully booked or the tour is not available, I would recommend my great friend Robert who is an awesome guide and goes on the same route and does a very similar tour. You can find him on Guruwalk under “All-in-One Budapest Free Tour”:
