Barcelona and its wonders.
This tour is an aperitif of everything that this wonderful city has to offer. We will walk through emblematic places, monuments hidden in the routine life of the people of Barcelona since the settlement of the first settlers, passing through Romans, Catholic kings, Jaime I, the Indians, modernists like Gaudí ... even basilicas that have been protagonists of some recognized novels and tragic moments like the Civil War.
Why is this Free Tour different?
Because I like to tell stories and discover little things that make great things different or even unique.
Our tour begins in Plaza Catalunya , the meeting point not only for travelers like you but also for many locals. We would go down the Ramblas discovering its small and great wonders and anecdotes ( Canaletas, Palacio de la Virreina, Mercado de la Boquería , ..), by the way, some a bit bloody, like in the Liceo Theater .
We would turn until we reached Plaza del Rey , we would go up to Plaza Sant Jaume. With great care and going backwards we would reach the Cathedral , yes, before passing through the Church of Felip Neri.
Before going down Via Laietana and passing in front of part of the Roman wall , what is that sea of colors? The Santa Caterina market.
On the way to the Basilica del Mar , how about a stop at the oldest candy store in Barcelona?
We would end up at Plaza Palacio from where a brief description of the Barceloneta and Maremagnum neighborhoods would be made.
