About the Tour

Exciting tour of Historic Madrid, the Madrid of the Habsburgs, where we will learn about the legacy left by the ancient kings , the interesting life of our ancestors and the legends that accompany some of the most emblematic buildings of the capital.

The tour lasts approximately 2 hours.

We start the tour at the iconic Puerta del Sol , where I will introduce you to King Carlos III, the Royal Post Office, the Bear and the Strawberry Tree and much more.

After a short walk, we will arrive at the majestic Plaza Mayor , where I will tell you about the varied activity that has been the protagonist of it since its creation.

We will then go down Calle Toledo, stopping at the Plaza de la Puerta Cerrada, one of the gates that gave access to the walled town of Madrid.

We'll go up Cuchilleros street where we will visit, among others, the oldest restaurant in the world and the oldest barbershop in the European Union .

We will arrive at the Mercado de San Miguel , where you will discover why we Spaniards eat tapas .

The tour continues with a brief stop at the Antigua Farmacia de la Reina Madre , the oldest store in Madrid.

We will go down the Calle Mayor , making a stop at the beautiful Plaza de la Villa while we then meet the (most) Curious Neighbor of Madrid.

We will finish the tour enjoying the impressive image that the Almudena Cathedral and the Royal Palace leave us.

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: I will be between the statue of El Oso y el Madroño and the Rodilla restaurant with a green and black cap and a bushy beard.
