Tour description

Welcome to Amsterdam!
On this tour we will see and learn how this city has been formed based on its history, architecture, commerce and the character of its inhabitants.

We'll start at Dam Square , where we'll take a journey back in time to Amsterdam's beginnings in the 9th century, to its golden days in the 17th century. Right there we will see three of its famous monuments. We will stroll through the most famous streets of the center (and other lesser known ones), where I will explain curiosities and key historical facts that have marked Dutch society, such as the Second World War , the Protestant religion or its expansion and trade in the New World .

Places and essential points that we will see and talk about:

  • Royal Palace - Het Koninklijk Paleis
  • New Church - De nieuwe Kerk.
  • National Monument - Het Nationaal Monument
  • The old Stock Exchange building - Beurs van Berlage
  • amstel river
  • Courtyard of the Beguines – Begijnhof (temporarily closed)
  • singel channel
  • De Krijtberg
  • Flower Market – Bloemenmarkt
  • Coin Tower - Munttoren
  • Canals, bridges and their curiosities
  • old jewish quarter
  • Rembrandt House
  • Niuwemarkt and De Waag (Chinatown)

In addition to advice and resolution of doubts that you have about the day to day of the city, where to eat, drink, buy or museums to visit. We will have time to stop at each site to take photos (I always carry my camera with me, I love photography), and at several points there are benches in case someone needs to rest for a couple of minutes while I tell you curiosities.

SUGGESTION : comfortable shoes and clothes, umbrella or raincoat (you never know) and desire to discover the old town of Amsterdam.

* The route may undergo some modification due to works, crowds or unforeseen events in general.
**The tourist tax of €1.5 required by the Municipality will be requested at the beginning of the tour.

El tour con Adrian fue muy divertido ya que sólo fuimos 3 personas y lo hizo muy personal y fácil de seguir. Me gustó mucho que después de finalizar el tour, se animara a comer con nosotros y nos enseñara comida que a él le gusta. Gracias Adrian!
