Hola! I am Pupi (or Gonzalo). I am a musician and comedian from Argentina, I was working in a very serious company in Buenos Aires as a multimedia designer and teacher, until one day I decided to leave everything and go to live in Rio de Janeiro, I believe that (in my case) 32 years is enough to stop procrastinating dreams and living in this city is one of them. I visited Rio for the first time in 2014 and I fell in love with its streets, its people and everything about its beaches. Today I continue working as a freelancer because I love being able to have my free rats to go to this beautiful city.
I have a different proposal to offer you:
Let's tour the center of Rio de Janeiro learning a little Portuguese while taking beautiful photos for your social networks!
Aren't you tired of not having a decent photo that shows your beauty and that of Rio at the same time? Does your partner or travel companion take out-of-focus and moved photos? Do you want to make your ex envious by showing him how well you are enjoying Brazil? Let's find a photo worthy of your Instagram in the center of Rio!
My name is Pupi Castro, I am an Argentine designer, musician and comedian who during the pandemic made the decision to start fulfilling dreams, one of them: living in Rio de Janeiro.
More than 5 months ago I started accompanying tourists and it is a job that I enjoy and -based on my reviews- people do too.
We'll meet on the metro at the CINELANDIA station, from where we'll go to the Real Gabinete Português de Leitura , whose main hall stands out for its lavishness and its neo-Manueline style ornaments (yes, it looks like a set from Harry Potter).
Then we will walk to the Sao Sebastian Cathedral in Rio de Janeiro, which does not matter if you are religious or not, the stained glass windows and the imposing architecture will surely mobilize you. Then through the famous Arcos da Lapa , an aqueduct built in the 18th century and which today is the iconic setting of this city.
Finally, we will finish the tour in the beautiful Escaderia Selarón , a pedestrian street in the shape of a staircase that was intervened by a Chilean artist that is full of color.
Along the way I will take photos of you, as well as teach you some words that can make your stay in Brazil easier.
ATTENTION:
Meeting point: Open in Google Maps
How to find me: I will be in front of the Gilberto Gil mural that is located in front of the McDonalds a few meters from the Cinelandia Metro station
