Tour description

Are you interested in a tour of the highlights in the center of imperial political power in Europe? Experience the most important sights of the Francisco-Josephine period, the time of Emperor Franz Josef I. and his Elisabeth, the famous Sisi?

Hardly any dynasty has shaped Vienna as much and is still so present in today’s cityscape! Join me on a walk to the most important milestones of their lives, also a must-see for all Sisi fans!

This tour will offer a perfect overview of the imperial city of Vienna! We meet in the city center at the Austriabrunnen and visit

  • Palais Niederösterreich where the Emperor’s reign began
  • Parliament building and the most beautiful palace on the Ringstrasse
  • Volksgarten with the Sisi monument
  • The Hofburg, the seat of power
  • Museumsquartier with Sisi’s „Wellness Center“
  • Lookout at the Kaiserforum from above
    (summer only)

Quality is my top priority and therefore I guide in smaller groups only. Therefore, please cancel in good time if you can't participate after all!

During the tour I will also give you tips and hints on other sights and shopping opportunities.

Tip: Don’t forget your camera!

I am looking forward to meeting you!

I have been in 3 free walking tours, heard some new facts in this one and also, big advantage, we visited not so touristic, but important and marvelous places like Parlament building and the beautiful rose garden with Sisi’s monument. Michael is such a acknowledged guru.

We learned a lot from the tour. Central Vienna is not mainly a centuries-old accumulation of imperial architecture. Most of it was built during the second half of the 19th century under Emperor Franz Josef after the failed revolution of 1848. our experience of the city is now much more meaningful.
