Hello! My name is Lucija! I am born and raised in Dubrovnik, Croatia and I'm a licensed tour guide for 3 years now. I love traveling but I also really love my hometown and would love to tell you about its history, people and life in general :)
Hello friends!
Join me on this free walking tour and experience Dubrovnik through the eyes of a local. I am born and raised in Dubrovnik and I could talk about its history for days (no lie) - but one hour and a half is just enough for you to learn something new and interesting while also having fun, which is my main goal as a guru!
One thing you will notice when you arrive in Dubrovnik is that is really hot here in summer. I call this tour the Sunset Walking Tour because late afternoon walks in the Old Town are my favorite, when the temperature is just about perfect and the sunset is breathtaking (also, it's less crowded - yay!) But just wait until you see beautiful Dubrovnik!
The tour will include all the main spots:
and more!
Our walking route in a nutshell:
🔸The meeting point is at Pile Gate, the main entrance to the Old Town, right between two restaurants, Dubravka and Nautika
🔸We will then enter the Old Town and walk through the main street Stradun where most of the monuments are located
🔸I will then take you through few side streets and will show you the way to the famous Buža Bar, the bar on the side of a cliff with the most beautiful view ever (a little fun fact: "buža" actually means "a hole" - the entrance to the bar is literally a hole in the city walls!)
🔸We will then take the street Od Puča, a street parallel to the main street Stradun that has plenty of authentically Croatian shops (but more importantly, really good gelato), and finish the tour at the Onofrio's Fountain.
At the end of the tour you are more than welcome to leave me a tip, but no one is forcing you to of course (it is greatly appreciated though!). I am also open to any remaining questions and tips about the town, so please don't hesitate to ask at any time!
Book the tour now and I promise you a good time in a friendly environment!
I will be between Nautika restaurant and Dubravka restaurant, at the stone fence looking at the bay
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
