I was born and raised in Funchal and since I was 14 years old, I dreamed of being a Guide and showing travelers my little piece of heaven. I became a mountain guide in 2016 and fulfilled part of my dream, guiding people in the incredible nature of Madeira. In 2018, I had the challenge to start the Free Tours in my city. I accepted the challenge and feel very happy and lucky to share the best of the city and the mountains with our visitors!

Funchal is over 500 years old and has a lot of history inherent to the fact that it is an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
It was the first place where the Portuguese settled in the Age of Discovery.
Madeira was also the testing ground for the mass production of sugar and it was Madeirans who went around the world to start sugar production in several countries.
Initially, a monster shrouded in mist in the eyes of 16th century navigators to a tourist paradise in the 21st century!

Nuestro guía Romeu nos hizo un tour por el centro de Funchal excelente. Nos explicó la historia de una manera entretenida, se preocupaba por si teníamos alguna duda y nos recomendó lugares para comer y visitar fuera del tour. Empezó hace poco a hacer los tours en español, debido a la demanda, y la verdad que se le entendía a la perfección a pesar de que su primer idioma fuera el portugués.
