It is a guided tour of the most important monuments and places in the history of Mexico City, the largest and most diverse in the American continent. We will get to know the heart of the country and the most relevant faces and secrets in its conformation: Pre-Hispanic times, Viceroyalty and the 19th century. We are not only going to visit buildings, but scenarios of history, gastronomic culture and the architectural landmarks of the city.
In this walk we will know:
- The ruins of the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan, the destroyed capital of the Mexica culture
- The Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico
- The Hospital of Jesus (the oldest in the country) and the tomb of Hernán Cortés
- The Palace of the Counts of Santiago Calimaya
- The Stone Lion that marks one of the worst climatic tragedies in the city
- The Palace of the Marquises of Jaral de Berrio
- The Palace of the Marquises of Orizaba, today House of Tiles
- The Mining Palace
- The Palace of Fine Arts
And other hidden sites, which are not usually mentioned in tourist guides!
Useful information: Attend with water, comfortable shoes and if possible, a cap or hat to protect us, if it is a sunny day.
