Tour description

My tour starts from Matthias Church in Buda Castle a minute's walk from Holy Trinity Square.
Look out for the SkyBlue Umbrella.
We walk along the castle district and you can enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of Budapest. You will have a chance to see the world-famous sights of the palace district.

Just to mention some of the attractions :

  • Royal Palace
  • Matthias Fountain
  • Lion's Court
  • St.George's Square
  • Fisherman's Bastion
  • House of Houdini and many more

We walk through time and space to discover 800 years of history of Buda Castle, stories of kings and settlers, fights, and romances.

Please note that the tour is not suitable for wheelchair users and not safe for baby carriages.

I would love to be your guide and share my passion for the wonders of Hungarian History.
I hope to see you soon :)

Had a great tour with Matthew! He showed us around some "hidden" and interesting places and gave entertaining and insightful information about Hungary's rich history. It was also great having a smaller group, that way we were able to cover more areas and it was a fun and very engaging experience overall. :) Highly recommended!
