Hello! I am Gladys and I have lived here in Munich for several years. I am Peruvian and in my country I studied the professional career of Tourism Administration at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. The Dean of America. We will start the tour at the Marienplatz explaining the mechanical clock in the main tower of the New Town Hall. An attraction that you cannot miss if you come to Munich.
Two interesting stories exist behind this tourist attraction. There our adventure begins telling historical data and interesting and funny anecdotes that will steal several smiles from you. The legends are not far behind and some will make your hair stand on end, such as the relationship between the devil and the construction of the Munich Cathedral. Then we will go to the oldest Church in Munich where I will explain the origin of the name of the city and many more details. I tell you everything!!
We will continue through the most famous market in Munich and we will see the Biergarten and the famous Maypole.
Our tour continues and we will visit the Munich Cathedral where the history of its construction will make our hair stand on end.
then we will arrive to the Odeonplatz that we cannot miss as it adjoins the Church of San Cayetano and the Residenz.
We will also visit La Max Joseph Platz to see the sculpture of the First King Maximilian and the Anecdote behind it. we will explain the origin of the Oktoberfest , La Maximilian Strasse, The Mad King.
We will finish the Free Historical Center Tour of Munich in the the most famous brewery in Munich and in the world, The Hofbräuhaus where we will explain its anecdotes and stories. A place that you cannot stop visiting since there are 35,000 visitors every day.
