Description

Secret Inca Trails: Trek through the Ancient Paths of Cusco

Important: Access to the Inca Trail and archaeological sites has an additional cost of S/ 50 per person

Embark on a hike of approximately 4 hours through the ancient Inca trails of Cusco, traversing routes that connected the capital of the Tahuantinsuyo with the Antisuyo, the Amazonian region of the Inca Empire.

Accompanied by a professional tour guide, you will discover ancient ceremonial and religious paths, while learning about the history, Andean worldview, and the spiritual significance of some of the most fascinating places in Cusco.

During the tour, we will visit important archaeological sites such as Cusilluchayoc, Amaru Marka Wasi (Temple of the Moon), Qenqo Chico, the Sucancas, ancient ushnus, and sections of the Inca Trail.

The hike begins in the Historic Center of Cusco and continues along trails surrounded by nature, passing through remnants of pre-Inca, Inca, and colonial times. Along the way, you can enjoy panoramic views of Cusco and the Andes, while walking the same routes used by the ancient inhabitants of the Tahuantinsuyo.

Optional visit

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit an Andean camelid conservation center, where you can get up close to llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos, as well as learn about the importance of these species to Andean culture. You will also be able to appreciate the majestic Andean condor.

End of the tour

The experience culminates in the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, after a hike that combines history, archaeology, nature, and Andean culture.

An ideal experience for those who wish to know Cusco beyond the traditional places and walk the paths that hold centuries of history.
