Having been hosting multi-TA Award-Winning tours for more than a decade, our tours have even been featured in the Forbes Magazine. We are Jana and Matthias, a life-loving, positive thinking, adventurous, comfort zone expanding, socializing, widely-travelled, entrepreneurial couple. We have changed our lives from "Living to Work" to "Working to Live". We both have the Travel Bug, big time. Working as guides gives us the flexibility to be able to travel when we want to, and we want to travel often, very often. When not meeting travellers here in Barcelona we become adventurous travellers ourselves. We are on a quest to visit all the worlds UNESCO Heritage Sites.

Our walk is designed specifically with the intention of making it a perfect primer to our beloved Barcelona. In a fun and entertaining way, you’ll get introduced to our remarkable city and region, it's more than 2000 years of fascinating history, layout, architecture and vibrant culture. Slowly we'll together explore the narrow medieval alleys, winding streets and charming squares of Barcelona's famous historical centre, the Old Town 'Ciutat Vella' and it's most famous part, the Gothic Quarter 'Barri Gòtic'. We'll share some of its many stories and legends and talk about some of the most colourful of the characters, royalties, saints, knights, creatures, daring explorers, traders and artists who built our fascinating city.
You will get a very educational walk balanced between information and entertainment. It is custom made for you to be the ultimate introduction to both the city and to the Barcelona way of life. Plenty of up-to-date local insider tips on things to do in and around the city, plus where to eat, drink, shop and explore will also be given. We'll make sure that no-one feels like a tourist in a big group, but like a friend visiting.
What you need to bring:
– An open mind, willingness to learn and a smile
– Drinking water, the tour is about 2.5 hours long
– Appropriate clothing for walking and for the current weather condition
– A camera! There will be plenty of picture opportunities.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
