Only for small groups, this walk will lead you into the heart of the Renaissance in Florence: through the buildings and works of art visited, you'll be able to know the beginnings of that period as well as the atmosphere and life in the Florence of 14th and 15th centuries. It is the best way to start your visit to the city, or to get to know the most important sites in the historic center so that you can spot those deserving a thorough visit in the near future. Ideal for getting your bearings and having fun!
Places visited during the walk:
1. Palazzo Pitti and Vasarian Corridor
2. Ponte Vecchio and (in the distance) Piazzale Michelangelo
3. Alleyways and hidden squares of medieval Florence
4. Piazza della Signoria, Loggia dei Lanzi
5. Mercato del Porcellino, Palazzo Vecchio
6. Via dei Neri, Santa Croce square and church
7. Bargello Museum, San Firenze square
8. Dome, Giotto's Bell tower, St. John's Baptistery
9. Medici-Riccardi Palace, San Lorenzo church and Medici's Chapel
10. Santa Maria Novella square and church
For logistical reasons, the tour must be booked at least 12 hours before the starting time. The tour taking place is guaranteed only for these bookings, having received the final confirmation.
The tour is done only with SMALL groups. Once reached the maximum number of participants the tour will be closed, so you better book now. Thank you.
