SanDiego's Vibrant Waterfront- a free stroll with local expert Paula
Tour description
This is a free walking tour of 1.5 hours. We'll be walking along the city's most popular part of its stunning waterfront ( locals refer to it as The Embarcadero) We'll begin at Tuna Harbor Park at the iconic "Kiss Statue". ( see my photos here of this statue) . It is in a park next to the USS Midway, aircraft carrier. Look for me holding a pink umbrella. I'll tell you about this interesting piece of public art and then show you the nearby multi- media memorial to our veterans featuring an impressive life-sized depiction of Bob Hope entertaining our troops abroad. We'll continue our stroll south along the waterfront to the historic "Headquarters" and into Seaport Village. There we'll take in the Marina, the "Beach" and continue along the waterfront past shops and restaurants circling back to our starting point via a restaurant which was a popular location of the filming of Top Gun.
