Walking Tour of History and Nature through the Prado in Montevideo/Uruguay
Tour description
My tour is a scenic experience that integrates knowledge about geography, flora, and fauna, as well as the foundation and historical development of the city up to the present day. It also addresses the historical and cultural heritage of a part of the Uruguayan Latin American population, descendants of European Latin populations (Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese) and British and Irish European populations that settled both in the Prado neighborhood and the rest of the city, giving rise to the regional folkloric cultural identity.
The majority of this part of the Uruguayan Latin American population today belongs to ethnic Celtic Latin populations such as Friulian-Venetian Julian, Lombard, Piedmontese, French, Asturian, Galician, and Portuguese, as well as to ethnic Celtic Scottish and Irish populations.
