Walk beneath the towering columns of the Great Hypostyle Hall, admire the towering obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut, and explore sacred chapels and monumental gateways that reflect the power and wealth of ancient Thebes.
Continue to the stunning Luxor Temple, beautifully located in the heart of the city. Built by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II, this elegant temple was the center of the famous Opet Festival, when sacred processions connected Karnak and Luxor along the Avenue of Sphinxes. Marvel at the massive statues, grand colonnade, and impressive obelisk that still stands proudly at the entrance.
