This free walking tour begins in the historic heart of the city, where a 13th century cathedral dominates the start point of our tour. We will discover, riverside views, and centuries-old landmarks, revealing how Turku grew from a medieval trading hub into a cultural center of Finland. Along the way, you’ll hear stories of merchants, kings, fires, and everyday life that shaped the city’s past.
The tour starts from Turku’s oldest quarters toward its more modern districts, showing how the city has evolved, while still preserving its rich heritage. The experience is led by an experienced guide who has been guiding tours in Helsinki for over five years, bringing professional storytelling and deep knowledge of Finnish history to every stop along the route. Expect engaging stories, local insights, and a friendly introduction to one of Finland’s most fascinating cities.
