Day 1 We depart central London early in the morning. The city's grand buildings fade into open green spaces as you travel towards the city of Oxford, your first stop of the day. Oxford with its spire-studded skyline of the English-speaking world's oldest University, is your first highlight. Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace - wander through the historic college precincts, climb one of the city’s vantage points for sweeping views, or discover art and antiquities in the Ashmolean Museum. Feel the magic as you wander around the city, where spires rocket towards the sky and elegant halls straight out of Harry Potter stir your imagination. Next, your journey takes you into the Cotswolds, a region known for its charming cottages, tranquil gardens, and green hills. You stop in the village of Castle Combe - often called one of the prettiest in England, with its romantic stone bridge and honey‑coloured cottages. As you wander its cobbled lanes, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into a storybook or a movie. Your day becomes even more enchanting as you travel to Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage city rich in Roman history and graceful Georgian architecture. This afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy at your own pace - take in Bath’s iconic architecture, explore its atmospheric lanes, or relax and soak up the city’s timeless elegance.
Day 2 You get more time this morning to explore Bath in the light of day. Make sure to wander along the magnificent Royal Crescent with its sweeping, curved facade, and other grand landmarks that have graced the screens of period dramas and films. Alternatively, you can delve deeper into history by visiting the famous Roman Baths, where the echoes of the past come to life. Once you have explored Bath to your heart's content, it's time to head to Stonehenge - one of the greatest marvels of the Neolithic period. At Stonehenge, you’re transported into a mysterious ancient world. Wander among the iconic monoliths, then explore the visitor centre to discover the fascinating theories behind their creation. Was it a temple, an astronomical calendar, or even the work of Merlin? After all these centuries, the mystery endures. Next, you’ll experience another British icon. Visiting Windsor feels like stepping straight into British history. Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world, still serves as a royal residence. You can explore its magnificent State Apartments or wander the historic market town. From its grand rooms to its cobbled lanes, Windsor reveals England’s past and present. After two days of exploring England's iconic landscapes and finding out more about world wonders, Romans, and royals, you return to London, where the vibrant energy of the capital awaits. You return to London at approximately 6.30pm.
