Here, we’ll make our first essential stop to take in one of the most iconic panoramic views of Lisbon and the Tagus River, framed by the park’s perfectly landscaped gardens. Following modern cycle paths through the newer parts of the city, we’ll reach the impressive Águas Livres Aqueduct, a masterpiece of 18th-century engineering. This is the perfect gateway to the Monsanto Forest Park. Known as the "lungs of Lisbon," this vast natural space of approximately 1,000 hectares is home to over a hundred different tree species.
