This site is known for the reported apparitions of the Virgin Mary, which are said to have occurred monthly between May and October in 1917 before three shepherd children. In Fatima, visit one of the major shrines of the Catholic faith, which includes the tombs of the young shepherd children, the crown of the Virgin in the Chapel of the Apparitions, and a segment of the Berlin Wall. Next, continue to the fishing port of Nazare, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
