The next highlight is the charming village of Hallstatt, where time seems to stand still. Located on the shores of a beautiful Alpine lake and surrounded by high mountains, Hallstatt looks like a fairytale. Its traditional houses, beautiful views, and peaceful atmosphere make it a special place to visit.
Your journey continues with a visit to Salzburg, the City of the Sound of Music. Here, you’ll have the freedom to walk through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town and see locations from the famous movie. Salzburg is also the birthplace of classical music and offers a rich cultural experience for music lovers and history fans. The tour in Salzburg is conducted with headphones, allowing you to hear your local guide clearly while enjoying more freedom to move around. You don’t have to stay close to the group or crowd together, so you can comfortably explore the city and take in the sights while still following the guide’s commentary. As a local guide, they know the city well and can share their knowledge and insights with you.
If you enjoy Salzburg and would like to spend more time there, you can stay longer and return to Vienna by train at your own expense.

Know before you go
- Our live guide will give you a guided tour while travelling in the bus.
- Please note that you will cover approx. 660 km. by motorway on this day. It is approx. 8,5 hours drive with multiple stops. You will spend minimum 1,5 hour in Hallstatt and max. 2 hours in Salzburg. In case of seldom traffic jams, the time can be shortened.

- This tour is created for inquisitive travellers who want to visit the most important cities in a short time. If you want to get to know these cities in more detail, we strongly advise you to go to each of these cities separately.
- To save your free time in the cities, we also recommend you to bring light snacks and water.
- Tour is not recommended for infants and very slow-moving disabled persons.
- You can bring your luggage on the bus.
- You can leave our group in Salzburg and return to Vienna at your own expense by train. You should inform us about it before the tour starts.
