UNESCO Giant's Causeway (120 minutes approx)
One of nature's most breathtaking sights is the Giants Causeway, made up of 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns that were created by volcanic activity 60 million years ago. However, legend has it that the Giant’s Causeway was used by legendary Irishman, Finn McCool, during his journey to fight the Scottish giant, Benandonner, and steal the most beautiful girl in all of the highlands.
Titanic Belfast or Black Taxi Tour
Here in Northern Ireland's capital you have two options to choose from:
A) The legendary ocean liner RMS Titanic was built here in Belfast's docklands, once the leading shipyard in the world. Why not visit the Titanic Experience? Opened on the 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking, the exhibition brings to life how 40,000 workers built the famed vessel and the tragic sinking on her maiden voyage in 1912. You will have the opportunity to experience original artifacts and virtual reality exhibits.
B) Black Taxi Tour of Belfast's neighbourhoods with their infamous political murals and peace wall (security fence which separates British Unionist & Irish Nationalist housing estates). Your local taxi guide will be able to answer any questions you might have about what it was like to experience the conflict known as the Troubles (1969 – 1998).
We are in Belfast for approximately 2 hours. You can choose one of the two options listed here. The cost is included in either scenario.
Return to Dublin
Return to Dublin at approximately 7:45 PM after an awe-inspiring day. Choose to be dropped off either in downtown Dublin or at the same accommodation that you were collected from.
