This tour combines the famous Golden Circle route and a day trip that will take you to see the stunning northern lights, allowing you to discover Iceland's main attractions.
Golden Circle Tour
We'll pick you up and begin the journey to the Thingvellir National Park, taking the Golden Circle route. This tour includes some of the most spectacular landscapes of Iceland, featuring the Gullfoss Falls and the Geysir geyser fields.
We'll be back in Reykjavík around 6:30 pm. Afterward, you'll have between 3 and 6 hours of free time to relax and have dinner at your convenience before we begin the northern lights tour.
Northern Lights Tour
After lunch, we'll pick you up at the meeting point between 8 and 10 pm, depending on the season. After booking, we'll contact you to confirm the exact starting time in advance.
We'll leave Reykjavík behind to head to an area with minimal light pollution, where we'll admire the northern lights in optimal conditions. The itinerary for this segment aligns with the standard northern lights tour.
The tour concludes back at the meeting point in Reykjavík after 3 hours.
Important Info
As this is a natural phenomenon, it's impossible to guarantee that the lights will be visible. If they can't be seen on your tour, we'll offer you another opportunity to see them at no additional cost; however, refunds may not be available.
Pickup Info
During the booking process, you’ll see a dropdown menu with different pickup hotels in Reykjavík. Next to each hotel, the nearest bus stop will be indicated, which is where you’ll need to go. If your hotel isn’t listed, you’ll need to select the closest one. Alternatively, you have the option of going directly to the BSÍ Bus Terminal, located at Vatnsmýrarvegur, Reykjavík 101, IS.
The meeting point may vary. Always check the tickets we sent you to confirm the final details before the activity.
Instructions
Schedule & Pickup Points
This activity includes pickup at different hotels in the center of Reykjavík. You'll need to head to the nearest bus stop, located at each hotel. You can also go directly to the BSÍ Bus Terminal, located at Vatnsmýrarvegur, Reykjavík 101, IS.
Please be at the pickup point at least 30 minutes before the designated time.
The buses will be marked by the Reykjavik Excursions or Grayline sign.
Please check your email and notifications before the activity begins, since the northern lights tour may vary depending on the weather conditions. The notifications from the local team will take place before 3 pm.
Audio Guide
You can download the audio guide through the app Locatify SmartGuide. All you need to do is scan the QR code to download it on Android or Apple devices. You can download it beforehand. If you do not download it earlier, you'll have Wi-Fi on the bus to download the app.

Additional Info
We recommend bringing a warm jacket, a windbreaker, a waterproof coat, three layers of clothes, a warm sweater, fleece lining, and a thermal layer. We also recommend wearing warm, waterproof, and breathable pants, waterproof and resistant shoes/boots, and warm, waterproof gloves. We also recommend taking crampons, which can be bought on-site.
