Barcelona Adventure Tour: Montjuïc eBike with Lunch & Paddle

Two adventures, one unforgettable experience: discover Barcelona from both the hills and the sea.

Part One: Discover Montjuïc by E-Bike

Our adventure begins at Plaça Sant Jaume, in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. After a short 5-minute walk, we'll reach the bike shop where you'll receive your e-bike and a brief introduction before we set off.

Our first stop is the city's historic waterfront and the iconic Columbus Monument, located at the end of the famous Las Ramblas.

From there, we'll head towards the foot of Montjuïc, where you'll learn about the hill's fascinating history before we begin our ascent.

Our first stop on the mountain is the beautiful Mossèn Costa i Llobera Gardens, a peaceful oasis filled with cacti, palm trees, and exotic plants from around the world.

Next, we'll visit two spectacular viewpoints. Admire the Mediterranean Sea on one side and Barcelona's skyline on the other, including a distant view of the Sagrada Família. Don't hesitate to ask your guide to put their photography skills to work and capture some memorable shots for you!

A few minutes later, we'll reach the famous Olympic Swimming Pool, offering another impressive panorama over the city. Here, you'll have time for a drink or a restroom break if needed.

The climb then continues to the Mirador de l'Alcalde, one of the finest viewpoints overlooking the Mediterranean and Barcelona's cruise ship terminal.

At last, we'll reach the summit and discover Montjuïc Castle, an 18th-century fortress that has watched over the city for centuries. We'll ride around the castle walls to enjoy views of the industrial port and even Barcelona Airport in the distance.

As we descend the hill, we'll pass several important landmarks, including the Olympic Stadium, the Botanical Garden, and the Montjuïc Cemetery, before arriving at the site of the 1929 International Exhibition and the famous Magic Fountain area.

A pleasant 15–20 minute ride will then take us back to the bike shop.

Part Two: Barcelona from the Sea – Paddle SUP

From the bike shop, we'll walk a few minutes through the port area, passing Las Ramblas before boarding the harbour shuttle boat to Barceloneta Beach.

Once at the beach, we'll grab our paddle boards and head out onto the Mediterranean Sea to experience Barcelona from a completely different perspective.

During this 1-hour paddle session, your guide will introduce you to the history of Barceloneta, from its origins as a fishing neighbourhood to its transformation for the 1992 Olympic Games.

After the session, your guide will be happy to recommend some excellent local spots where you can enjoy well-deserved tapas, a delicious paella, or a refreshing glass of sangria.
