Know before you go
- Audio guides are provided in different languages at Windsor Castle: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish
- Due to legal working hour restrictions for our drivers, this tour will finish within a 2 or 3 minute walk of Gloucester Road Underground Station. This station is in Zone 1 and is three stops Eastbound on the Circle Line or the District Line to Victoria. The Piccadilly Line also runs through Gloucester Road and is only 5 stops to Piccadilly Circus
- St George’s Chapel closes at 16:00. We advise you to ensure that this is one of the first places you visit upon arrival.
- St George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Visitors to the Castle on Sundays will not be able to enter the chapel or view the burial place of Queen Elizabeth II.
- This tour is unescorted, and you will spend approximately 2 hours inside the castle.
- When the State Apartments are closed the Precincts, Drawings Gallery will continue to be open.
