Know in advance
- The tour is run by a combination of minivan and train. The Cinque Terre are located 2h30m outside of Florence in the Liguria region. The villages can only be visited by train or boat so in high season, due to the popularity of the villages, the trains could be very crowded and subject to delays
- It's recommended not to make any travel arrangements on the same day for when we return to Florence in case of any delays
- Don't bring any valuable items on the tour. Thieves are frequent in the Cinque Terre
- Cinque Terre comes alive from June until the end of September, winter is the best time to appreciate the nature, the landscape and the quietness of this magical land, away from the summer crowds
- From November until March, consider the majority of the shops and local restaurants will close for their annual leave. It's recommended to bring a packed lunch during this time
- The national park paths, due to landslides, can be closed by the local authorities at any time they consider it to be dangerous
Remember to bring
- Weather appropriate clothing. It can be windy, especially in the winter
- Instant confirmation
