Description
At the designated time, we will meet you at your selected location in central Valencia before setting off northward towards Morella. Our route will closely follow the picturesque coastline, taking just over two hours to reach this remarkable walled town perched on the hills—a true gem from the medieval era!
As we navigate the steep, distinctive cobblestone streets, there will be opportunities to pause and admire the various local artisan stalls. Our exploration will culminate at the historic castle that majestically overlooks the town. A fascinating fact: El Cid Campeador once resided in this very location!
Within this 12th-century Islamic fortress, we’ll uncover its significant role in the Crown of Aragon’s history. Following our exploration, we’ll treat you to a traditional Morellana meal to replenish our energy.
Post-lunch, we’ll proceed to Peñíscola. During our drive, we’ll share insights about the rich heritage of this historic city, known for its connection to a rather controversial figure, Pope Luna.
Upon arrival, our first stop will be the castle, which is majestically situated on a cliff overlooking the sea. Pope Luna, recognized as Antipope Benedict XIII, utilized this stronghold as both his residence and literary haven. Further insights will be revealed throughout the tour!
Our adventure continues as we explore the old town of Peñíscola, showcasing a blend of Islamic, Roman, and Templar architecture. We’ll also trace the perimeter of the ancient wall that once fortified the city, allowing you to feel as though you've stepped back in time.
After a fulfilling day of exploration, we'll return to Valencia and drop you off at your chosen meeting point.

When you make your reservation, you will be prompted to select one of the following pickup locations in Valencia:

Instructions
On the day of the activity, please come to one of the following pickup points in Valencia 10 minutes before the start time:
- Torres de Serranos (Plaça dels Furs), at the stairs leading up to the towers, which are located to the left of the towers.
- Hotel NH Valencia Center (Carrer de Ricardo Micó, 1)
- Ciudad de Justicia (Av. del Profesor López Piñero, 14)
Please note, however, that the local provider will contact you via WhatsApp the day before the activity to reconfirm the exact time and meeting point. The time is approximate and may vary by 20 minutes.
