Experience a captivating day trip as we journey through some of England's most renowned destinations, including Windsor Castle, Lacock, Bath, and the enigmatic Stonehenge.
Tour Description
Our adventure kicks off at Victoria Coach Station at the designated time. Once everyone is gathered, we'll board a comfortable coach that will take us to our first destination: Windsor Castle.
Perched elegantly above the River Thames, Windsor Castle boasts a royal heritage spanning over 900 years. Recognized as the longest-inhabited castle globally, it has been home to 40 monarchs since the time of William the Conqueror in the 11th century. As we arrive early, you will have a unique chance to explore both St. George’s Chapel and the ornate State Apartments ahead of the crowds.
Next, we will visit the charming village of Lacock, known for its role in the Harry Potter film series. Here, a guided walking tour will allow you to experience the quaint beauty of this preserved medieval village. After our exploration, you can relax with a pub lunch at the historic George Inn, which has welcomed guests since the 14th century.
Post-lunch, we will venture towards the mesmerizing city of Bath. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bath is celebrated for its Georgian architectural style, elegant crescents, and classic terraces. Following a scenic bus tour, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Bath Abbey, wander across Pulteney Bridge, or indulge in afternoon tea at the Pump Rooms, all while enjoying the soothing sounds of a live string quartet.
Our journey concludes at the historic site of Stonehenge, an ancient marvel located on Salisbury Plain. This remarkable prehistoric structure has intrigued visitors for nearly 5,000 years. Whether seen as a temple, astronomical calendar, or burial ground, stroll around the monumental stones and contemplate the mysteries surrounding their creators.
After an enriching day of exploration, we will make our way back to London. The tour will conclude near Gloucester Road Underground Station, wrapping up approximately 13.5 hours after we started.
