Want to step foot on the very ground where gladiators fought? Choose the Colosseum arena tour to add this extra, restricted area to your route. While most tours only explore the edges of the arena, this option allows you to enter and explore it, just like the warriors and beasts of Ancient Rome.

The Colosseum is one of Rome's most iconic sights, an imposing structure that transports you back to the power of the Roman Empire. Your professional guide will uncover the mysteries of the games held here and the fascinating stories of the gladiators who thrilled the crowds with their brutal combat. You'll enter the arena floor, the heart of the action, for about 45 minutes, before enjoying some free time to explore on your own.

After this break, the tour continues to Palatine Hill, one of the seven hills where Romulus founded Rome in 753 BC. Here you'll see ruins of several Roman palaces and enjoy panoramic views of the city and the archaeological area. The tour concludes at the Roman Forum, the centre of Ancient Rome's political, social, and economic life. You'll also have the option to continue exploring the Forum on your own.
