Windsor Castle Head towards the Windsor Castle, rising high above the skyline of the town. The castle has been the ancestral home of the British Royal family for more than 900 years and is the largest continuously occupied castle in Europe. Tour the State Apartments, the centrepiece of the castle and reputed to be the grandest apartments in England, their opulence is immediately apparent. On the walls hang some of the most beautiful works of art from the Royal Arts Collection, whilst the colossal Waterloo Chamber commemorates the famous English victory over Napoleon.
Set within the grounds of Windsor Castle, St George's Chapel is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England. Construction of the present Chapel began in 1475 under the reign of Edward IV. When visiting make sure you look up and admire the stone ceiling, which was added by Henry VII.

- As a working royal palace, Windsor Castle is used frequently by the royal family. Opening arrangements may, therefore, change with no notice
- Children aged 0-2 years old can join for free when sitting on a parent's lap

- St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle is closed to visitors on Sundays
- The order in which the attractions are visited may vary seasonally or for operational reasons
- This tour offers introductions to Windsor, Stonehenge, Bath, but due to the distance and traffic between each of the locations the travelling time to return to London considerably. Please be mindful of this when making post-trip arrangements
- Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
