Enjoy a full-day tour of two of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites on a coach trip from London to the standing stone circle of Stonehenge and the Roman and Georgian city of Bath.
Following your transfer from central London, start by exploring the mysteries of Stonehenge, the world’s most famous prehistoric monument. Dating back some 5,000 years, the stone circle is located on Salisbury Plain, and has been home to pagan religions and spiritual worship for centuries. Try to unlock some of its secrets at the new Visitor Center. (Entry included if option selected)
Then, continue to Bath in time for lunch at leisure. There’s an incredible selection of restaurants in the city, including traditional pubs for a classic pub lunch, quaint tea houses, and cool sandwich shops for a quick snack.
Enjoy ample free time to wander the delightful crescents and terraces of the city to see fine examples of Georgian architecture. Marvel at the grand Bath Abbey, or go to the romantic Pulteney Bridge across the River Avon.
Upgrade to go inside the Roman Baths built nearly 2,000 years ago. Built on Britain's only natural hot water spring lies the magnificent Roman public bath complex and Roman temple. At the heart of the World Heritage Site you can walk around the steaming pool on the Roman stone paving and admire the ancient Roman statues and architecture.
Learn why Bath was so loved by Jane Austen at the Jane Austen Centre, and visit the elegant 18th-century Assembly Rooms. There will be plenty of time to shop, or to enjoy afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms, where the quintessential English experience is accompanied by live classical music.
