Bordeaux Walking Tour

I regularly join Guru walks. It is a fine way to make a first acquaintance with a new city. The concept is fair: you pay what you think it's worth. The quality differs by guide, as always.

Best way to orientate yourself to any new city.

Mark hat uns kenntnisreich, mit einer klugen Auswahl an Orten und mit viel spannender Hintergrundinformation durch die Stadt geführt. Er hat brisante Themen angesprochen (wie: die Résistance und der Antisemitismus während des Zweiten Weltkriegs oder den Sklavenhandel, der einen Teil des Reichtums der Stadt begründet). Auch die konkreten Tipps für Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten am Schliss der Tour waren wertvoll.

We’ve enjoyed several Guru Walks (Seville and Venice most recently) and they’ve always been top quality. This one in Bordeaux, France was equally good. It was evident that Mark really worked hard to inject history, points of interest and quirky facts into the experience. We learned so much in our time with him. (We tend to expect a high level of guru and we weren’t disappointed).

Really enjoyed the walking tour in Bordeaux. Our guide was very friendly and new so much about the history of the city. It was a relaxed pace and easy to follow. Definately recomend if you want to see more than just the main sights.

Lo consiglio per avere una overview delle città.

It was a very good tour with lots of information. Bordeaux was in the middle of a heat wave and the temperature but we managed to stay in the shade mist of the tour. If possible, maybe we could have started the tour earlier.

Definitely the best way to see Bordeaux and find out and experience the city.Elisa was informative,interesting and entertaining and I left knowing a lot more about the city than if we had made our own way round.Her recommendations were also a great help in choosing what to see and where to eat.Thank you Elisa
