A freewalking tour is always on my list whenever I travel the world. This time, I was with my 3 friends. We found an excellent guide in Eduardo who told us Funchal and its history. Highly recommended to find out a bit more about the city's history with him by your side. He tells it so enthusiastically that you hang on his every word for the next historical fact about the city and its inhabitants.

Had a great tour with Eduardo, gave us a good understanding of the history of Madeira and the city of Funchal. Especially the more recent events with flooding and forest fires gave us an insight in the challenges Madeira faces.
