Hallo, ich bin Eduardo. Geboren und aufgewachsen auf der Insel Madeira, habe ich schon immer eine tiefe Zuneigung zu diesem Juwel im Atlantik empfunden. Es ist mir ein Herzensanliegen, die außergewöhnliche Geschichte unserer kleinen Insel mit Besuchern zu teilen und ihre globale Bedeutung hervorzuheben. Trotz ihrer Größe bietet Madeira eine reiche Kultur, lebendige Gemeinschaften und eine geschichtsträchtige Vergangenheit, die weltweit Anklang findet.
to be honest, we were surprised of how interesting the tour was! our guide was probably the best guide we walked with, and every piece of information he shared, every joke he said really made diffference in how we see Funchal – we started to appreciate it much more after the tour, and while walking in the evenings we used to say 'remember, we've seen it on the tour?'. I admire how passionate he was and wish him all the best in his future tours! surely one of the best experiences you could get in Madeira!
What a delight our tour was! We were immediately hooked by Eduardo's easy-going, approachable personality. We learned a lot about the history of the city and the Madeira island, but also about where to go, where not to go, what to do, and what to try. The 2.5h absolutely flew by and in all honesty, just left us wanting more! I highly recommend going on a tour as soon in your trip as you can, as it gives a very valuable insight and ideas for how to explore and experience Funchal and Madeira as a whole.
