It was a delight ful walk, stroll through the historic River Market and adjacent. Good explanation of architectural styles/periods, Historic murals as well as contemporary installations, The context to the River and the development of the town was enlightening. Interesting insight into the "mafia" years. Really a good guide and tour!
Fun tour, really nice guide! I brought my dog along and he had a good time as well.
The Cow Town (guru walk) tour of the history and murals near the Riverwalk of Kansas City was absolutely fantastic. Our guide, Laura Miller, a Kansas City native, really knows the history and was able to explain it in such a relatable and interesting way. We were so impressed and will try more tours with her and Cow Town tours.
Laura from Cowtown Tours was amazing! She is not only a native that was raised in KC, she is a veteran in the tour guide scene. You can tell how well she knows about the city as we asked a lot of questions and she knew how to answer to all of them! A added bonus to the tour is that Laura is very knowledgeable in the city street murals and she was able to ensure her walks had several murals to look and talk about. She also has a vast knowledge about what is happening within the city and can give several other suggestions and guidance on what else you can do around town. I highly recommend taking a small amount of time from your trip and doing a walking tour, it’s great for first timers in KC, or someone who comes often or local and would want to learn about the history and culture of the city. Laura has lived through some massive changes in KC, and can talk through some of the more recent history through her own experiences!
