We were absolutely thrilled with Thabo and his tour! He is very kind and gave us a fascinating insight into the history of Soweto and his hometown. We felt safe throughout the tour and were particularly impressed by his friendly and engaging way of explaining things. What we especially appreciated was that he shared personal stories and was able to answer all our questions about apartheid in depth. Thabo felt like a friend showing us his homeland in such an authentic way. Another cool aspect was that we took a local taxi and learned how to say “hello” and “thank you” in his language, which we were able to use immediately. To top it off, we ended the day by enjoying a traditional African meal together. We highly recommend Thabo!

Since we were a little late, we thought the tour may already started but Thabo( the tour guide) waited for us. We felt very welcome and had a really comfortable time. He explained the history of the district and was open to any question we had. We enjoyed the trip to the fullest and even got a whole lot of recommendations.
