Nima was wonderful! There were not enough participants signed up for the English tour and so he asked if I would like to join the same tour in German and he would provide some translation. I thought that was a really nice suggestion to ensure that I could still participate (and also I would like to learn German so it was nice to practise a little with the native speakers). He would explain in German and on the walk to the next location, translate for me in English which made it very personable. The food was really yummy and the history was exciting. He was also so lovely and friendly and so it was one of my favourite tours I've done (I've done a lot!). I recommend this tour with Nima!
Eine fantastische Tour, die Neukölln aus historischer und zeitgenössischer Perspektive erkundet. Wie bei einem Stadtrundgang starteten wir am S-Bahnhof Neukölln und machten Halt am Körnerpark, Karl-Marxplatz und Richardsplatz. Wir schlenderten die Sonnenallée entlang und endeten in der Nähe des Hermannplatzes, um die vielfältigen Facetten Neuköllns zu entdecken – vom alten bis zum modernen Stadtteil. Jenseits dieser beiden unterschiedlichen Seiten präsentiert sich Neukölln als pulsierende Stadt, trotz der Herausforderungen, die man hier und da spürt. Ich kann diese Tour wärmstens empfehlen, denn mit Nima vergeht die Zeit wie im Flug, während er einem alles über die Geschichte, das Leben und die Entwicklung dieses Berliner Stadtteils erzählt – vom Dorf Rixdorf bis zum heutigen Neukölln
Well, probably not the first tour you do in Berlin but once you have seen the obvious highlights, go for it. And you will see parts of Germany are not longer Germany.
