Regrettably the guide didn't turn up. A later message said that she had been held up on another job. As we were staying in Funchal for 2 weeks we could reorganise our day and go on a different walking tour with Madeira Heritage, which was excellent. However, the other people on the tour were from the cruise ships and this last minute cancellation had blown a hole in their plans for the day. I would suggest that in future the guide should avoid putting themselves in potentially conflicting situations.
She did not show up, no info. Waited for almost half an hour. 6 persons were disapounted.

Liliana is an excellent tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable about the island of Madeira and the history of the island. The pace of the tour was perfect and we covered a wide area. Liliana pointed out places of interest, introducing them to the group, suggesting we could return later if we wished. Liliana also made suggestions of good places to eat and drink. Thanks Liliana, the tour was fantastic 😀
We do these tours all over the world. We have never experienced any tour guide so knowledgeable, experienced, enthusiastic, and committed to expressing her love and dedication to her community. She was one of a kind.
