Hola, me llamo tío J. Soy intérprete histórico del Patrimonio del Viejo San Juan. Me apasionan las fortificaciones y las recreaciones coloniales españolas. Pensé: "¿Por qué no convertirme en guía certificado y combinar ambas cosas?". Y aquí estoy. Tengo muchas ganas de conocer gente agradable y mostrarles mi isla. ¡Vengan y acompáñenme! ¡Será una experiencia inolvidable!
Unkle J took my finance and I on a spectacular tour by explaining the history of Puerto Rico and each fort as well as La Factoria!! He’s very famous among the locals and tourists so don’t be afraid to photo bomb photos of him!!! He will also take wonderful “honeymoon” photos during the tour
Wealth of knowledge. Been here 5 times but this was the best tour ever.
Me parece poco profesional si es un "free tour" que se cobre por adelantado, aún me parece muy dr mal gusto que cobre por una entrada al castillo la cual es libre de costo en ese momento.
So, Uncle J do give a fun and different tour, including using a costume that fits with the tour Concept. He is obviously knowledgeable about the Island history, and from a knowledge point of view, you will get as much as you are willing to put in the tour: Word of warning for people used to “GuruWalk” methods, while he does mention it in his summary, he is quite upfront about requesting his tip upfront along with the cost of entering the castles. So if you know that and gets over it, you’ll save everyone awkward moments and You’ll have a great, fun and different tour 👍🏻
Ambushed! You read on the website, ‘Free Walking Tour’…give tip at end…even lists places to be visited. Imagine my surprise when approached and told that $20 needed for forts and $15 each for the guides payment. We were under impression that we would not go into the forts and had planned to go back after the tour to visit on our own schedule. Very few of the places listed on our reserved tour were actually visited. It was also little concerning how the guide portrayed the relationship between the U.S. and PR. I didn’t need such commentary and it would be interesting to see how things would turn out without our ‘interference’.
