Mi nombre es Alexis y soy profesor de filosofía. Llegué a Berlín hace 5 años para estudiar un doctorado relacionado con Berlín y la historia de Alemania. La capital alemana es un laboratorio vivo que ha sido testigo de los acontecimientos más importantes del siglo XX y que han dado forma al mundo tal como lo conocemos hoy.
Las calles de esta ciudad son un espacio donde todos y cada uno de nosotros podemos escuchar y ser escuchados: esta es la motivación principal que me inspira para hacer este trabajo. De ahí nace el proyecto ‘Side to Side’ que se propone no sólo mirar, sino ver, escuchar y reflexionar la historia.

It was a very nice experience; I started to do this everywhere I go and it really gives us a different perspective about things. Berlin is an amazing city and if you can walk along with someone that improves your knowledge, it is perfection.
Alexis was a knowledge guide who explained simply and with real empathy the story around the cold war, what happened, when and why and the human impact of it all.
Knowledgable on historical nature. Great use of iPad for references but if you want a punchy tour with short stops and bite sized information this is t for you. It’s super detailed with the first stops way too long talking (25min plus of detailed WW2 history). If you’re someone who loves to listen and stand you’ll love this. If you prefer walking observing and small nuggets of enthusiastic interactive history along the way, find another tour
