Soy una artista visual nacida y criada en Kibera, en la zona de Nairobi. Actualmente soy estudiante universitaria de Turismo y Geografía. Tengo un interés infinito en la guía turística y la gestión hotelera. Me apasiona mantener la paz y promover la unidad en los barrios marginales de la comunidad. Soy una defensora de los derechos de los niños y de la preservación de su talento. Me encanta contribuir a la comunidad enseñando arte y defendiendo el desarrollo del talento de los niños.
We did this tour with Brian, and it was one of the best experiences we had in Nairobi — being able to understand and get closer to the reality of life in Kibera. It’s an area full of art and entrepreneurial people. Brian is an excellent guide; he kindly helped us discover all the details of the place where he grew up. He has very interesting projects and is an active member of the community. If I were to do this tour again, I would definitely do it with him. Brian is a great guide and really knows his way around Kibera. He showed us many interesting places and was very patient, answering all our questions with great detail. We were especially inspired by his personal story as a self-taught artist, and it was encouraging to see how many talented young people in Kibera, like him, are pursuing their dreams.

The best tour I ever attended with a lot of personal and touching stories and wonderful places and insights one can never forget. I can recommend this tour 100%!
Brian is incredible. Initially I was concerned about visiting the slum, not wanting to disturb the people in their day to day lives and out of fear that this would feel like displaying their harsh conditions only. But the opposite was the case: We learned so much about the development in the slum and the work and hope people have to improve things. Brian gave us so many details about the area and let us dive deep in into the everyday life there. If you want to do such a tour make sure you do it with a person who actually is from there, and Brian seems perfect for it.
