Mahmoud is a fantastic guide. I think it was challenging to effectively cover the history of the Citadel of Saladin in 2.5 hours. Starting with an introduction to the time period that will be the focus of the tour with a high-level chronology of the history would have better set the stage for the tour. But, all-in-all, great tour within a stunning Citadel.
Mahmoud was an excellent guide through the Citadel of Saladin! Very friendly, good-humored, and knowledgeable about local history. Plus, he sings Islamic chants beautifully! The best Guruwalk we had in Cairo!
This was AMAZING tour! From the beautiful boat ride, to the wonderful meal, to experiencing local life in the khan el killi market, we are so grateful we found this tour so we can experience real life as Egyptians. Highly recommend, you won’t regret it.
