Hello, We, at Be Local Tours, would like to take this opportunity to respond to the above review you have left us, as it does not, in any way, fully describe the experience you had with us. Firstly, Be Local Tours is not Guruwalks. We are a legitimate company which uses Guruwalks as a platform so when you state, “ finding…Guruwalks are cancelling on us” this obviously cannot apply to us at Be Local Tours. Secondly, regarding your reservation for our tour on Wednesday 18th September it is true that the tour was cancelled. Yet, this was because of a serious unforeseen event which was explained to you in a private message to which you responded. In the private conversation we had with you, we offered you the opportunity to take the tour the next day, Thursday 19th September to which you agreed. But even with the guide contacting you at least 1 hour before the tour start time on the day of the tour to inform you on how to find him and sending messages to you on Guruwalks at least 20 minutes after the scheduled start time of the tour - and then the guide personally ringing you to still see if you were coming on the tour to which you agreed: on all occasions the guide did not receive a single response. Much later you contacted the guide personally to state that you were annoyed with Guruwalks but, and I quote you, “ it was not your fault”. With all the above taken into consideration we feel your review is not an accurate description of the experience both you and we had, not only that, as mentioned before, we are not the platform Guruwalks and that we tried everything possible to give you the tour on another day, to which you agreed- but you declined to show up on the tour and then declined to the many opportunities given to you to see if you were coming on the tour. In doing so, as you were the only booking for the tour, the guide made a wasted journey, at their personal expense, to offer an agreed tour to which you did not have the courtesy to respond. We at Be Local Tours aim to give not only high quality tours but also a high quality service as can be read in our other reviews, and it is a shame you have taken the opportunity to have left a review that is minimal, to say the least, in your dealings with us, inaccurate in your appraisal and as a consequence a slur on our reputation which we do not deserve.
