I booked the tour a bit last minute and realised at the meet up point that I was the only visitor, which made me feel bad for Jose Rafael. But he didn’t mind at all, and made me (solo travelling women) feel comfortable from the very start. I loved learning about the details of the city’s history, social movements and arts. We went to very different districts and ended the tour at a look out point with view over the illuminated city at night. It was refreshing that Jose never suggested to buy from certain shops or people on the street. All recommendations felt very genuine and he sent me all of it per WhatsApp at the end of the tour. I’m so happy I went for it and can only recommend! You’ll feel that you met up with a friend who’s keen to show you around.
