Are you looking to discover more of Jerusalem than the Old City? Interested in learning about how the Old City turned into modern day Jerusalem? On this tour, we will see a lesser known corner of Jerusalem, and we will learn about the transition from Old Jerusalem to New Jerusalem, see one of the most important archaeological sites in the country (that most people don't even know exists!), and hear about the 19 years that Jerusalem was divided between 1948 and 1967.
We will see the following places:
Mt. Zion: the Room of the Last Supper and King David's Tomb
Walk through the Mt. Zion tunnel used during the War of Independence in 1948.
The old Jerusalem Cable Car
A beautiful view of the valley with the Old City walls on one side, and New Jerusalem on the other.
the Ketef Hinnom archaeological site
Mishkenot Sha'ananim - the first neighborhood outside the city walls
The picturesque alleyways of Yemin Moshe
Yemin Moshe windmill
The tour will end on David Remez street, in walking distance of the center of town, and easy access public transportation.
