Hi! I’m Courtney, a native New Yorker and licensed Gold Star-recommended NYC tour guide. I’ve been leading tours since 2011 and am the author of over 200 blog articles about New York City. On my tours, I discuss the city as it was and is today, with fascinating stories, significant locations, important people, architectural styles and more. I use visuals such as historical photos, maps and sometimes even musical recordings to bring NYC’s past to life. My style is welcoming and casual, and I love to make people laugh with funny anecdotes. I work hard to give you a fun, informative and memorable experience of the neighborhoods we visit. So join me!
Courtney was an excellent guide. The stories were interesting especially hearing about the Jewish area, I knew nothing about before. Although Spanish is my native language I could understand everything Courtney said and if I didn’t she was kind to repeat. She also told me ideas of other things to do in New York because this was my first time hear. I recommend this tour!
The tour was excellent. Courtney was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The street art and whole area were cool and the river views were great! As a jazz fan, I loved hearing about Sonny Rollins on the bridge. Something I never knew about!
I am a local New Yorker, but didn’t know much about Williamsburg except the restaurant scene so I booked this tour. Courtney took the group to places in Williamsburg I’d never been to, let alone heard of! The history was interesting and the stories she told were engaging. All told, the tour and Courtney were wonderful!
