Hi! I’m Courtney, a native New Yorker and licensed Gold Star-recommended NYC tour guide. I’ve been leading tours since 2011. I also work part time at the Center for Brooklyn History and the author of over 150 articles about New York City.
On my tours, I discuss the city as it was and is today, with fascinating stories, significant locations, important people, architectural styles and more. I use visuals such as historical photos, maps and sometimes even musical recordings to bring NYC’s past to life. My style is welcoming and casual, and I love to make people laugh with funny anecdotes. I work hard to give you a fun, informative and memorable experience of the neighborhoods we visit. So join me!

The tour was excellent. Courtney gave interesting information in an easy-to-understand manner and with genuine enthusiasm. I'm a bit of a history nerd, so I was really impressed that whenever I had a specific question she was ready with more information. She started out with general information and clearly adjusted the tour based on our interests and the level of detail we wanted. I'm amazed by how many details she could provide. Her depth and breadth of knowledge is incredible. Highly recommend this tour if you want a comprehensive experience of Williamsburg.
I really enjoyed this tour. Courtney’s expertise and the way she talked about the complex issues and history of the area made the experience worthwhile. I knew a little bit about Williamsburg but after this tour I feel like I know it all! The views are amazing too!
