Hello travelers, nice to meet you. My name is Francesco, born in Italy and in love with Barcelona for more than 5 years. I decided to stay here in sunny and beautiful Barcelona for its long and curious history, its sea, its mix of cultures and above all for its delicious cuisine. I am a professional in the gastronomy, oenology and cafeteria sectors. After all the knowledge acquired and my vocation for gastronomy, I chose to offer tours, in order to share with you the wonderful gastronomic culture of this city.
I signed up for the tour the day before. Arrived at the location ready for the tour but the guide did not show up. They later sent a message to say they had a personal emergency. But some communication would be nice prior to the tour or would have been nice if they canceled so people did not show up.
Very disappointing – no tour, no timely response We were really looking forward to this walking tour, especially since we were only in Barcelona for a few days and had planned our time carefully. Unfortunately, things started off confusing: the tour was listed for 10:30 AM, but in the reminder from Francesco, it said 11:30 AM. I messaged him to clarify the correct time, but received no response. Not wanting to miss it, we decided to be at the meeting point at 10:30 AM – but no one showed up. We then waited until 11:30 AM, thinking maybe the later time was correct. Still, no one came. Francesco only replied several hours later, by which point the half day was already lost. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, especially considering the time and effort we put in. A quick and timely response would have made all the difference.
A small intimate group experience.
Very fun tour for a few free bites, but a wealth of great recommendations of places to check out and eat!
